Cade’s Cove in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee calls to us every time we are near. Anytime we are visiting the Gatlinburg area, we always spend a few days making the rounds inside Cade’s Cove. Its an easy, relaxing drive in some of the most beautiful country inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Our youngest is old enough now to explore more of the trails than we’ve been able to do in the past. I hope he appreciates these memories when he gets older. I wish I had more like these when I was growing up for sure.

Cades Cove Tennessee
One of our first views inside the loop. The mountains were still powdered with an early season snow weeks before.
Cades Cove Hiking Trail Tennessee-3
We took this trail to Elijah Oliver’s cabin. There are multiple trails leading to it, this one was easiest.

Cades Cove Lonely Road Tennessee
Photographed on one of the cut through roads bypassing the loop.
